According to the 1860 census she was born in 1828.   Matilda had 12 children with Samuel (6 boys, 6 girls).  Died during the birth of Morland St. Clair. 1885 - 1963 Morland St. Clair Hennis 77 77 Morland was the youngest son of Samuel Hennis and Matilda Swallow.  Matilda when Morland was born.  Morland then was raised by his two sisters (Jane and Elizabeth [Libby]) going back and forth between their homes.  In the 1900 census, Morland is listed as living in Cadiz Ohio with the Chandler family both as a servant and a student attending school. It is believed the Chandlers were related to Jane. Others living in the same household were Heity Chandler (b1868), Annie Chandler (b1874) and Elsie Chandler (b1898). None of the rest of his brothers and sisters are listed in that area.  In the 1910 census, he is listed as a roomer with John J. Lazear of Mannington, and the minister was Rev.
