Col. Edward Dorsey 
Col. Edward was born about 1645 in Anne Arundel Co, MD. Col. Edward's father was Edward Dorsey and his mother was Ann Howard. His paternal grandfather was Conyers Dorsey. He was an only child. He died in 1705 in Major's Choice, Baltimore Co. MD.General Notes
Justice of Ann Arundel Co Court 1679, 1680, 1685,1886,1689. Capt of the militia in 1686,, Major in 1687, field officer 1694, and a Colonel in 1702(Archives of MD Vols. 5, 13-15, 19-20, 25 and 26. Was a planter, boatwright, builder, and lawyer. Left a will dated 26 Oct 26 Oct, 1704 and probated in Baltimore Co. 31 Dec 1705. Married twice. 1st to Margaret Larkin (had five children; Francis, Charles, Larkin, Edward, Anne) then to Sarah Wyatt (8 children: Sarah, Edward, Hannah, JOshua, John, Samuel NIcholas, and Benjamin)
