Simeon was born on March 13th, 1823 in VA. Simeon's father was Joseph Haught and his mother was Ann Elizabeth Haught. His paternal grandparents were Peter 1st Haught and Rebecca Tennant; his maternal grandparents were John E. Haught and Catherine Croushour. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Tobias , Peter, Jesse, Bennet, Polly, Annie, Lucinda, Martha Malinda and Christenia.-
