Polly was born in 1835. Polly's father was Joseph Haught and her mother was Ann Elizabeth Haught. Her paternal grandparents were Peter 1st Haught and Rebecca Tennant; her maternal grandparents were John E. Haught and Catherine Croushour. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Tobias , Peter, Simeon, Jesse, Bennet, Annie, Lucinda, Martha Malinda and Christenia.-
