Tobias was born on November 29th, 1813 in Monongalia County, VA. Tobias 's father was Joseph Haught and his mother was Ann Elizabeth Haught. His paternal grandparents were Peter 1st Haught and Rebecca Tennant; his maternal grandparents were John E. Haught and Catherine Croushour. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Simeon, Jesse, Bennet, Polly, Annie, Lucinda, Martha Malinda and Christenia. He died at the age of 84 on March 31st, 1898 in Middlebourne, VA.General Notes
