John Ely Dorsey

John Ely was born on July 10th, 1708 in Anne Arundel Co, MD.  John Ely's father was Caleb Dorsey and his mother was Eleanor Warfield.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Warfield and Eleanor Brown. He had five brothers and two sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Basil, Caleb, Samuel, Richard, Thomas Beal, Sophia, Deborah and Achasah.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
