Deacon John Loomis 
Deacon John was born in 1622 in Braintree, Essex Co, England. Deacon John's father was Joseph Loomis and his mother was Mary (Marie) White. His paternal grandparents were John Loomis and Agnes Lyngwood; his maternal grandparents were Robert White and Bridget Allgar. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Jr., Thomas, Nathaniel, Lieutenant Samuel, Sarah, Elizabeth (Bemis) and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 66 on January 9th, 1688 in Windosr, Hartford, CT.-
