Sarah Catherine (Aunt Kit) was born in 1790 in Monongalia County, (W)VA. Sarah Catherine (Aunt Kit)'s father was Richard D. II Tennant and her mother was Elizabeth Haught. Her paternal grandparents were Richard D. Tennant and Janet Wark; her maternal grandparents were Peter 1st Haught and Rebecca Tennant. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Peter, Richard D. III, William, Alexander, Joseph S., John, Adam, Abraham J., Jacob Aaron, Mary, Elizabeth and Margaret Ann (Peggy). She was the second youngest of the thirteen children.-
