Samuel Phelps 
Samuel was born on May 8th, 1621 in Tewkesbury, England. Samuel's father was William Phelps and his mother was Mary Unknown. His paternal grandparents were William Phelps and Dorothy James. He had two brothers named William and Nathaniel. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Cornelius, Joseph, Timothy William, Mary, Sarah and Mary. He died at the age of 38 on May 15th, 1659 in Poquonock, CT.General Notes
From "The Phelps Family of America and their English Ancestors" by Judge Oliver Seymour Phelps and Andrew T. Servin, Eagle Publish Co of Pittsburg, Mass, 1899, page 88: Emigrated with father to New England on the ship Mary and John, settling with his father in Dorchester, removing from there to settling of Windsor, Connecticut. Settled in Windsor in 1635, where he married Sarah Griswald.
