William Phelps 
William was born on February 28th, 1599 in Tewkesbury, England. William's father was William Phelps and his mother was Dorothy James. His paternal grandparents were James Phelps and Joan Mills. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, George, Richard, Edward, Mary, Dorothy and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 73 on July 14th, 1672 in Windsor, Berkshire, Connecticut.General Notes
Traveled to the colonies on the Mary and John from Plymouth England, under Capt. Squeb. Sailed on 3/20/1630 and arrived in Hull, MA on 5/30/1630. He settled in Dorchester, MA, as one of the founders of the town.
