John Michael was born on December 26th, 1762 in Macungie Twp, Lehigh Co, PA. John Michael's father was Adam Stocker and his mother was Maria Magdalena Beisel. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John Peter, John Adam, Leonard, George, John Thomas, John Jacob, Eva Margaretha, Elizabeth and Eva Catherine. He was the third oldest of the ten children.-
