John Adam was born on March 23rd, 1764 in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA. John Adam's father was Adam Stocker and his mother was Maria Magdalena Beisel. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John Peter, John Michael, Leonard, George, John Thomas, John Jacob, Eva Margaretha, Elizabeth and Eva Catherine. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children.-
