John Jacob was born on May 24th, 1774 in Forks Twp, Northampton Co, PA. John Jacob's father was Adam Stocker and his mother was Maria Magdalena Beisel. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John Peter, John Michael, John Adam, Leonard, George, John Thomas, Eva Margaretha, Elizabeth and Eva Catherine. He was the youngest of the ten children.-
