John Peter was born on May 26th, 1760 in Macungie Twp, Lehigh Co, PA. John Peter's father was Adam Stocker and his mother was Maria Magdalena Beisel. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had six brothers and three sisters, named John Michael, John Adam, Leonard, George, John Thomas, John Jacob, Eva Margaretha, Elizabeth and Eva Catherine. He was the second oldest of the ten children.-
