Clemons Monroe was born on September 6th, 1866. Clemons Monroe's father was George Haught and his mother was Anna Joanfernandez (Nandis) Fluharty. His paternal grandparents were Tobias Haught and Elizabeth Santee; his maternal grandparents were Edmund F Fluharty and Nancy Toothman. He had five brothers and six sisters, named Lewis Elmer, Emerson Armstrong, James Howard, George Kinzie, Thomas Miller, Alice Leona, Anora Celestia, Elizabeth Angeline, Anna Belle, Cordelia Jane and Emily Rosetta. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 69 on January 9th, 1936 in Ravenswood, WV.General Notes
