John Towneley 
John was born about 1573 in Lancashire, England. John's father was Lawrence Towneley and his mother was Mary Hartley. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Lawrence, Henry, Robert, Thomas, Charles, Elizabeth and Ellen. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
