Charles Towneley 
Charles was born about 1596 in Lancashire, England. Charles' father was Lawrence Towneley and his mother was Mary Hartley. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Lawrence, Henry, John, Robert, Thomas, Elizabeth and Ellen. He was the youngest of the eight children.
