Johan Philip was born on January 30th, 1772. Johan Philip's father was Johannes Walker Jr. and his mother was Eva Christine Stocker. His maternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had three brothers and eight sisters, named John, Johan Franz, Johan Jacob, Juliana Maria, Maria Magdalena, Maria Elizabeth, Anna Maria, Margaret, Susanna, Eva Catherine and Rosina. He was the oldest of the twelve children.-
