Peter was born on January 7th, 1755 in Moorefield, Hampshire Co, VA. Peter 's father was Peter 1st Haught and his mother was Rebecca Tennant. His paternal grandfather was Johannes Haught; his maternal grandparents were Richard (1st) Tennant and Janet Wark. He had three brothers and a sister, named Jacob Henry (Big Jacob), Joseph, Tobias and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the five children.General Notes
