Christian (Christopher) Duchman 
Christian (Christopher) was born on May 25th, 1764 in New Holland, Lancaster Co, PA. Christian (Christopher)'s father was Johann Christian Duchman and his mother was Anna Maria Hauser. His paternal grandparents were Johan Adam Duchmann and Maria Magdalena Steiner; his maternal grandparents were Johann (Hans) Jacob Hauser and Anna Margaretha Gass. He had four brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Johann Deterick, John Johannes , Johannes Michael, Joseph, Eva Maria, Anna Christina, Anna Magaretha, Maria Elizabeth, Christine and Johan George. He was the youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 59 in 1823 in Indian Creek, Mongahelia Co, VA.General Notes
"Phineas Kellum asse to Christian Caufman is entitled to four hundred acres of land in Monongalia County on Merricles Run at a Lick opposite the said Kellims land to include his settl'ment made thereon in the year 1776 in the said Caufman right of haveing resided and rais'd corn in said county before 1788" (Monongalia Story, Vol I, Pg 323)
