Robert Roy Everson 
Robert Roy was born on September 11th, 1868. Robert Roy's father was George Washington Everson and his mother was Francis Paugh. His paternal grandparents were Richard Everson and Eleanor (Nellie) Bugher; his maternal grandparents were Henry Paugh and Mary Adams. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Richard M., Jefferson D. (George), John Henry, James W. H., Frank F., Benjamin Franklin, Mary Ellen, Anna M., Elizabeth, Florence Etta and Sallie. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named William O. Butler, Nora Amelia and Harriet Virginia. He died at the age of 49 on October 25th, 1917 in Gypsy, WV.General Notes
Died at 4:45 p.m. while tearing down a barn on the old Vincent homestead, near Gypsy, WV, where he was in charge of the Consolidation Coal Company farm. He was struck by a heavy timber, which fractured his skull and caused instant death. Services were held by Rev. Oldaker at the Shinnston Methodist-Protestant Church and he was buried at the Shinnston IOOF cemetery. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Odd Fellows in Shinnston. He was 49 at his death. (from his obituary).
