Parks Elwood Hennis 
Parks Elwood was born on March 11th, 1918 in Farmington, WV. Parks Elwood's father was Morland St. Clair Hennis and his mother was Florance Mae Stocker. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Hennis and Matilda Swallow; his maternal grandparents were Miller David Stocker and Sarah (Sadie) McDonald. He had six brothers and a sister, named Donald St. Clair, Walter Samuel, David Eugene, George Moreland, Living, Living and Living. He died at the age of 72 on September 17th, 1990 in Dogue, VA.General Notes
Lied about his age to get a job in the coal mines. Volunteered when WWII started. Served as a demolitions expert, behind enemy lines. Captured, pelvis broken while a prisoner of war. With his separation money from the service, purchased a "Sweetheart Homes" package and he and his wife built their own home in Farmington, WV. Worked for Joanne Coal company in various positions, ending as a mechanic and electrician. Did electrical and mechanical work on the side. Moved to Dogue, VA after youngest daughter graduated college. Died of a brain tumor, probably had scleroderma, but not diagnosed.
