Matilda was born in 1838 in Ohio. Matilda's father was Unknown Swallow and her mother was Mary Hart. She had a sister named Amy. She died at the age of 47 on April 13th, 1885.General Notes
Matilda's maiden name is from the Hennis family Bible. According to the 1880 census, she was born in 1838, and was a housewife living in Short Creek, Harrison Co, Ohio. According to the 1860 census she was born in 1828. Matilda had 12 children with Samuel (6 boys, 6 girls). Died during the birth of Morland St. Clair.
