Arthur Gay (Petie) Toothman 
Arthur Gay (Petie) was born on November 2nd, 1904 in Plum Run, WV. Arthur Gay (Petie)'s father was Cyrenus (Yank) Toothman and his mother was Elizabeth Angeline Haught. His paternal grandparents were Alexander (Big Alec) Toothman and Sarah Wetzel; his maternal grandparents were George Haught and Anna Joanfernandez (Nandis) Fluharty. He had six brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Clarence Grover, George Edward, Denzil Fay, Elmus Kemper (Cocky), Everett Dee, Earnest Vane, Dessie Pearl, Arizona Ella, Goldie Ethel, Stella Grace, Retha Dale and Alta Roxie. He was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 67 on July 1st, 1972 in Farmington, WV.General Notes
Gay lost his leg in the coal mines. Daisy and Pete owned and operated 250 Market for a nmber of years. He died of a brain tumor and is buried in the IOOF cemetery, Farmington, WV.
