Jackson was born about August 6th, 1829 in PA. Jackson's father was Richard Everson and his mother was Eleanor (Nellie) Bugher. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Everson and Elizabeth Nash; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Bugher and Margaret Bergan (?). He had six brothers and three sisters, named George Washington, Richard, Dial (Doyle), Lewis Cass, William , Nathaniel, Louisa, Sarah and Margaret Elizabeth.-
