Christiana was born in 1792 in Farmington, Marion Co, (W)VA. Christiana's father was Richard (Ned) Parrish and her mother was Polly Mary Criss. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Parrish and Rachel Ann Evans; her maternal grandparents were Michael Criss and Christine Unknown. She had two brothers and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Richard (Dickey) Perry, Calder Haymond, Catherine and Edward.
