Col. Edward Dorsey 
Col. Edward was born in 1650 in Anne Arundel Co, MD. Col. Edward's father was Edward Dorsey and his mother was Ann Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Dorsey. He had a brother and a sister, named Joshua and Sarah. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 55 in 1705 in Major's Choice, Baltimore Co. MD.General Notes
Justice of Anne Arundel Co. Court 1679, 1680, 1685, 1686, 1689. Capt of the militia in 1686, Major in 1687, Field Officer 1694, and a Colonel in 1702 (Archives of MD Vols. 5,13-15, 19-20, 25 and 26. Was a planter, boatwright, bulder, and lawyer. Left a will dated 26 October 1704 and probated in Baltimore Co. 31 Dec 1705. Married twice 1st to Margaret Larkin (Had 5 children: Francis, Charles, Larkin, Edward, Anne) then to Sarah Wyatt (8 children: Sarah, Edward, Hannah, Joshua, John, Samuel Nicholas, and Benjamin.)
