Sir John was born in 1552 in Tyld Hall, Essex, England (Chicksands Priory, Shefford Beds Baronet). Sir John 's father was Sir Peter Osborn and his mother was Anne Blyth. His paternal grandparents were Richard Osborn and Elizabeth Coke; his maternal grandparents were Dr. John Blyth and Alice Cheke. He had eight brothers and nine sisters, named Josiah, Peter, Christopher, NIcholas, Henry, Richard, Roger, Thomas, Jane, Ann, Elizabeth, Mabel, Maudin, Jane, Susan, Catherine and Dorothy. He was the oldest of the eighteen children. He died at the age of 76 on February 11th, 1628 in Chicksands, Bedford, England.General Notes
