John Hawkins

John was born in January 1838.  John's father was Oliver Hawkins and his mother was Sarah Jackson.  His maternal grandparents were Richard Jackson and Lydia Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Charles W., William, Daniel Harrison, Franklin, Nancy Ann, Sarah Jane and Polly Ann.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.
