Franz (Francis) was born on May 3rd, 1783. Franz (Francis)'s father was Andreas Stocker and his mother was Juliana Maria Watnert. His paternal grandparents were Michael Stocker and Anna Margaretha Stephan. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Johan Adam, Andrew, Daniel , Christian, Peter, Jacob, John Peter, Maria Elizabeth, Anna Maria, Eva Catherine, Rosanna and Elizabeth. He was the sixth youngest of the thirteen children.-
