According to the headstone, Mary was born about 1769 (65 when died), but baptism was in 1767, so 33 when she married William and 67 when died.
Probably sister of Thomas (butcher) and Martha Tomlinson of Barnhill, Broxton. Also William Tomlinson (servant) and Martha his wife.
In 1826 Mary Brereton of Broughton was sentanced to 14 days in Jail for larceny (theft). This may be another!
The Harthill burial rercord for Mary Brereton, buried 23 Dec 1934, aged 65 was signed off by William Brereton, both her husband and Church Warden.
