William Woodward

William was born in December 1819 in Prescot and his baptism took place on December 19th, 1819 in St. Helens.¹

  William son of James & Elizabeth Woodward of Hardshalgh (possibly same place ah Hardshaw), Labourer

William's father was James Woodward and his mother was Elizabeth Beesley. He had a brother and four sisters, named James, Ann, Helen, Elizabeth and Ellen. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 44 on March 13th, 1864 in Liverpool. His burial was in March 1864 in Toxteth Park.²

  In 1845, Margaret Ann was born in Neston. The family then moved to Liverpool.
  
  In 1847, Thomas was born (and died 1849) in Liverpool. Margaret Ann also died in Liverpool, aged 2.
  
  In 1852, William and Mary Ann had another son Thomas, who survived and married.
  
  William died in 1864 aged 44, and Mary Ann remarried the same year.
