Thomas Woodworth (Woodward)

Thomas was born in June 1789 in Little Neston and his baptism took place on June 14th, 1789 in Neston.¹

Thomas' father was Joseph Woodworth and his mother was Alice Dobb. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, John, Joseph, William, James and Mary. He was the sixth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 48 in September 1837 in Neston.²

General Notes
- Thomas Woodworth, also known (after about 1828) as Woodward. Jane was baptised twice in 1828 and 1829 with both family names.
  
  Thomas was born in Little Neston and after he married lived in Gayton (between Heswall and Neston)
  
  11 Mar 1812, Thomas Woodward married Hannah Kemp (daughter of Samuel Kemp, a tailor), both of Heswall Parish. Thomas could sign his name.
  
  Thomas died in 1837, and Hannah was still at Gayton in 1841.
  
  Between 1839 and 1854, 4 of the 5 of James and Hannah's children that survived to adulthood married at St Peter's, Heswall, except for Hannah. Hannah Woodward married elsewhere.
