James Woodworth (Woodward)

James was born in 1825 in Gayton and his baptism took place on August 14th, 1825 in Heswall.¹

James' father was Thomas Woodworth (Woodward) and his mother was Hannah Kemp.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Woodworth and Alice Dobb. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Joseph, Thomas, Hannah, Jane and Sarah.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 75 in June 1900 in Neston.²

‌James and Ann were married in a religious ceremony on January 4th, 1849 in Heswall witnessed by George Par Bather, John Edwards, Jane Woodward and Thomas Griffiths.⁴   The family line is yet to be completed.
