Sarah was born in 1832 in Gayton and her baptism took place on January 29th, 1832 in Heswall.1  Sarah's father was Thomas Woodworth (Woodward) and her mother was Hannah Kemp.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Woodworth and Alice Dobb. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Joseph, James, Thomas, Hannah and Jane.  She was the seventh oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 55 in 1887.
