Thomas' father was Thomas Woodworth (Woodward) and his mother was Hannah Kemp.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Woodworth and Alice Dobb. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, Joseph, James, Thomas, Hannah, Jane and Sarah.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died at 1 months old in April 1821 in Gayton.  He was buried on April 5th, 1821 in Heswall.¹
