Ellen's father was William Woodworth (Woodward) and her mother was Eleanor (Ellen) Day.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Woodworth and Alice Dobb. She had four brothers and five sisters, named William, George, Joseph, Joseph, Ann, Ellen, Alice, Margaret and Jane.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 5 in February 1815 in Little Neston.  She was buried on February 13th, 1815 in Neston.¹
