Frederick's father was Alfred Windsor and his mother was Bertha Evelyn Owen. His maternal grandparents were Edward Charles Owen and Annie Roberts. He had a brother and four sisters, named Stanley, Evelyn, Ruth, Kathleen and Sylvia. He died at the age of 80 on September 6th, 2012.
