Ann was born in 1802 in Hawarden and her baptism took place there on December 3rd, 1802.1 2  Ann's father was Samuel Williams and her mother was Ann Millington.  Her paternal grandparents were John Williams and Elizabeth Broughton; her maternal grandparents were John Millington and Margaret Youd. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Samuel, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann, Rachel, Margaret and Frances.  She was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  She died due to Alzheimer's disease, Debility of Age, at the age of 81 on August 1st, 1883 in Little Neston.  She was buried on August 4th, 1883 in Neston.3

‌Ann and James were married in a religious ceremony on December 1st, 1823 in Neston by minister William Hobson and witnessed by Thomas Williams & Ann Lewis.4  They had two sons and four daughters, named Joseph, John, Elizabeth, Jane, Ann and Lydia.  There are no more children.
