Samuel Williams

Samuel was born in 1796 in Saltney and his baptism took place on January 17th, 1796 in Hawarden.¹

Samuel's father was Samuel Williams and his mother was Ann Millington. His paternal grandparents were John Williams and Elizabeth Broughton; his maternal grandparents were John Millington and Margaret Youde. He had a brother and seven sisters, named John, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann, Ann, Rachel, Margaret and Frances. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 48 in October 1844 in Broughton (Hawarden). His burial was on October 23rd, 1844 in Broughton (Hawarden).²

General Notes
- Samuel may be from Halkyn (near Bagilt and Hollywell), Flintshire where their first son John was buried. Halkyn is moorland good for grazing sheep and quarrying stone.
  
  In 1834, Job was baptised at Hawarden, Flintshire. He is their only child to be baptised there with parents named.
  
  In 1841, Samuel and Jane (45 & 40) were at Broughton, Hawarden, North Wales with James (14), Elly (12), Charles (10), Job (7), Mary (4) and William (2).
  
  James had died by 1851. His wife Jane (52, Widow) was a farmer at Broughton Village with John (27), James (23) and Mary (14).
