Ann was born in 1801 in Frodsham and her baptism took place there on November 8th, 1801.1  Ann's father was Hugh Rutter and her mother was Mary Woodward. She had a brother named Thomas.  She was the younger of the two known children.

‌Ann and Joseph were married in a religious ceremony on December 31st, 1822 in Frodsham.2
