Isaac Woodward was the son of James Woodward, a labourer. In 1851 Isaac recorded his birthplace as Runcorn.
In 1838, probably before they married, William was born. There is no birth registered for William Woodward, but there is one for William Whitehead at Salford, Manchester.
28 Dec 1848, Isaac, a labourer (a minor) married Mary Whitehead of full age. Both were living at Wilaston.
In 1856 Isaac and Mary were living at Hallwood and in 1860 Hands Hall Cottages, Neston.
In 1861, Mary (32) was a widow with 5 children

Occupation Details
From before 1849 Isaac's occupation was Labourer in Little Neston. He died in 1859 while still employed there.3
Isaac and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on December 28th, 1848 in Neston by Samuel Howarth and witnessed by Margaret Edwards & William Maylor.4 They had five sons named William, James, Joseph, Isaac and John. There are no more children.
