Mary was born in 1833 in Ness.1  Mary's father was Richard Robinson and her mother was Maria Williams.  Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Williams and Mary Woodworth. She had a brother and two sisters, named Richard, Elizabeth and Maria.  She was the oldest of the four children.
