Reginald's father was James Woodward and his mother was Mary Charmley. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Woodward and Maria Wynne. He had a brother and a sister, named Edmund and Ruth. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 74 on December 13th, 1948.
