April 1837, Rachel widow of Edward Davies, collier, of Pentrobin, died aged 76 1762 - 1805 Edward Davies 43 43 The first children were baptised at Hawarden.

Is is another Rachel & Edward family near Hollywell that had Eleanor (and others) baptised there in 1798.

In 1799, their last son Edward was born at Pentrbin and baptised at Hawarden. 1786 - 1788 John Davies 1 1 1790 Samuel Davies In 1812, Samuel married Jane Jones at Hawarden.

In 1813, Samuel was a labourer at Broad Lane, Hawarden.

In 1815 - 1822, when Thomas, John and Rachel were baptised, the family were living at Broughton Lodge.  Later records show whey were living at Broadlane Township.

In 1841, Samuel and Jane (both 50) were at Broadlane Town, Hawarden with John (25), Rachel (20), Samuel (15), (George (12), Jane (10), William (8), Elizabeth (5).

In 1851, Rachel (28), Jane (21) and William (19) were still with their parents at Broadlane, Hawarden 1792 Jane Jones 1795 John Davies 26 Aug 1814, John Davies, a Sawyer, of Pentrabin married Elizabeth Parry, also of Pentrabin.

In 1841, John and Elizabeth (both 45) are at Saltney with their daughter Ann.  John is still a Sawyer

In 1851, John and Elizabeth (both 57) were at Ferry Road, Saltney with their granddaughter Mary Williams (11)

In 1861, John and Elizabeth (both 67) are at Davie's Houses,  Saltney with granddaughters Mary Williams (21), Ann J Foulks (15) and Elizabeth Foulks (10).  Thomas Foulks, a mariner (and wife Ann) is a neighbour. 1799 - 1850 Edward Davies 51 51 In 1841, Edward was married to Sarah and had Mary, Rachel, Ellen and John (7,5,3, & 2)

In 1851, Sarah was a widow on Parish Relief 1807 - 1857 Sarah Griffiths 50 50 In 1851, Sarah (44, Wid) was recieving parish relief for herself and her 5 children: Rachel (15), Ellen (13), Elizabeth (8), Sarah (6) and Samuel (2).
