Mariam was born on January 19th, 1930 in Millard.¹ Mariam's father was George Wells Kenney and her mother was Ramona Jackson. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin (Ben) Kenney and Harriet Ellen Nixon. She had four sisters named Ila, Wanda, Georgia and Glenda. Ila and Mariam were twins. She died at the age of 44 on March 10th, 1974.
