John was born in November 1766 in Pentrobin and his baptism took place on November 29th, 1766 in Hawarden.1 2  John's father was John Millington and his mother was Susannah Bannion. He had two brothers and five sisters, named John, Edward, Jane, Elizabeth, Ann, Susan and Mary.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 41 on May 15th, 1808.3
