Edward's father was John Millington and his mother was Mary Perkins.  His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Susannah Bannion. He had three sisters named Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 24 in September 1816 in Hawarden.  He was buried on September 25th, 1816 in Hawarden.¹
