Ann was born in 1785 in Broughton (Hawarden) and her baptism took place on February 10th, 1785 in Hawarden.1  Ann's father was Edward Millington and her mother was Ann Davies.  Her paternal grandparents were John Millington and Susannah Bannion. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Peter, John, Samuel, William, Susannah and Catherine.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
