Edward was born in 1806 in Hawarden.1  Edward's father was Richard Davies and his mother was Susanna  (Susan) Millington.  His maternal grandparents were John Millington and Susannah Bannion. He had a brother and a sister, named Richard and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the three known children.

‌Edward and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on February 11th, 1826 in Hawarden.2   The family line is yet to be completed.
